Item:¬†The Defense Department Inspector General concluded that a Pentagon policy office, headed up by Douglas Feith,¬†produced and gave senior policymakers exaggerated¬†assessments on the relationship between Iraq¬†and Al Qaeda –¬†that were “inconsistent” with the intelligence community’s consensus in the lead-up to the U.S. invasion of Iraq.¬†

But Mr. Feith has issued a rebuttal to such report: 

    

¬†“YOU SEE, OSAMA BIN LADEN KNEW A GUY, WHO KNEW A¬†GUY, WHO KNEW A¬†GUY, WHO KNEW SADDAM HUSSEIN’S BARBER.”¬†

“IN FACT, ON THAT BASIS, WE WERE ALSO PLANNING TO ATTACK KEVIN BACON.”¬† ¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†
