Coming off his intensely violent production of Apocalypto, Mel Gibson has announced what promises to be his most shocking and disturbing film,¬†George Bush’s Iraqalypto, about the decline of civilization¬†in Iraq.

“For me, it’s a movie-maker’s wet dream,”¬†Gibson explained. “It has everything: grotesque violence, anti-Semitism, foreign language and,¬†most importantly, thousands of extras willing to die without even getting scale.”

Gibson also expects to hold down the huge production costs that usually accompany his films, since the indigenous IEDs, RPGs and mortars will be more than sufficient to supply the special effects.

Not surprisingly, Gibson has chosen himself to play the post-invasion Saddam, given his striking resemblance to the former Iraqi strongman.

The movie will also be shot completely without dialogue, in an attempt to accurately reflect the current realities of Iraqi politics.

Asked whether he was capable of “changing course” if he ran out of extras due to the¬†massive¬†slaughter in Iraq,¬†Gibson replied: “No problem, we’ll just call in the Iranians and Syrians.”

Gibson already has a planned sequel to Iraqalypto, based on its expected outcome, which will likely be called Mad Moktada Beyond Mosquedome.
