In a rare show of unanimity, a wide array of cartoon characters, spanning various generations, have called on ABC/Disney to pull its miniseries, The Path to 9/11.

Most notably, Mickey Mouse himself, risking his very livelihood as a Disney creation, claimed that the mini-series breached all bounds of artistic license, and threatened to damage the credibility of all animated features.

Even the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote, usually arch-rivals, joined forces to criticize the 9/11 production.¬† As Mr. Coyote said, “it’s one thing to show me surviving repeated falls off cliffs, and head injuries from 200 pound anvils, but this ABC program really goes over the edge.”

The iconic Popeye also joined the protest, stating of ABC’s¬†right-wing hatchet job: “That’s alls I can stands, and I can’t stands no more.”

The objections also took on an international flavor, as the Association of Japanese Cartoon-makers, who virtually monopolize the industry, asserted that while they have no problem creating humanoid giant robots, they would not have risked their own credibility on this ABC/Disney fiction.

Finally, Fritz the Cat, the famous X-rated cartoon character, stated that while he’s obviously no prude, he would never do what ABC and Disney did in their 9/11 production: fuck the American people.
