Expressing¬†outrage over being “slapped down” by the Supremes over its unilateral exercise of executive power, the Bush Administration has “renditioned” the entire Supreme Court to the military prison in Guantanamo.

Although the Bushies intend¬†to incarcerate¬†only¬†the “liberal majority” in the Hamdan case, they felt that it would be best to have Scalia, Thomas, Roberts and Alito also head down to Gitmo, to serve as prison guards for their offending brethren.

As Attorney General Alberto Gonzales stated, we know “our guys, particularly Thomas, have no problem with torture, so we thought they could extract¬†concessions from some of the¬†more cantankerous Justices, such as the 86 year-old Stevens.”

There is also speculation that the “Hamdan majority” will be further tortured, by being subjected to a weekly Scalia performance of Pagliacci (the Sad Clown).

Gonzales further explained that in¬†order to ensure that the Court liberals don’t try to file any habeas corpus petitions or engage in¬†any other “judicial activism,” they will be deprived of all legal books, writing pads and pencils.¬†

“However,” Gonzales¬†added, “they’ll be allowed to keep their long-flowing robes, in the hope that they’ll be tempted to hang themselves.”

Asked to comment on this unprecedented move, Senator Arlen Specter, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, expressed some doubt about its legality, and promised to hold hearings to determine if the Administration needed a note from Congress before locking up a co-equal branch of the Government.

However, during a joint press conference held with Iraqi officials to celebrate that nation’s new democracy, Bush asserted that Congressional authorization was unnecessary, since¬†he intended to append a “Signing Statement” to the Constitution, declaring Article III, establishing the¬†Judicial Branch,¬†completely null and void.
